Strategic vision

Following the demergers in 2006 of its Property Undertaking and its General Produce and Distribution business Fyffes is one of the largest importers and distributors of tropical produce in Europe. The Group is primarily involved in the production, procurement, shipping, ripening, distribution and marketing of bananas, pineapples and melons. The Group currently markets fruit in Europe and the United States primarily under the Fyffes, Turbana, and Nolem brands. The Company is listed on the IEX (Irish Enterprise Exchange) in Dublin and the AIM (Alternative Investment Market) in London.

Fyffes and its joint venture operations employ approximately 4,800 people. Turnover in 2006, in the Group’s continuing operations, was €408 million. Shareholders’ equity at 30 December 2006 amounted to in excess of €227 million, including net cash balances of €80 million.
