The San Marino Project
It’s finished! The San Marino Neighbourhood Project in Uraba Region, Colombia is now up and running.
Working with development partners Fundauniban, Fyffes has provided over 50% of the funding needed for a fantastic new community project. Over 500 families from the Carepa municipality are set to benefit from the facilities now available to them at the Fyffes San Marino Centre for Sports and Cultural Activities.
These include:
- an early childhood care centre
- a children’s library
- an adventure playground
- a multi-purpose sports area
- community rooms
- meeting areas
- a fabulous amphitheatre for artistic and cultural events.
Completed in late April 2010, the centre has already become a firm favourite with local families and young people in search of adventure!
