FYFFES LEADERSHIP IN ‘ESG FIELDS’ RECOGNISED

7th November 2025 |

Global banana and fruit producer, Fyffes has been recognised for its ‘leadership, innovation, investment, and ingenuity’ in the fields of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) at the Business Post Leadership Awards ceremony which took place in Dublin recently.

Present to receive the award on behalf of the entire Fyffes organisation in Ireland, Latin America and other countries worldwide in which the company has a presence was its Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Caoimhe Buckley who, herself, was honoured with the ‘ESG Leader of the Year Award’ 2025.

Evaluated by an independent panel of adjudicators, the award was decided upon based on Fyffes track record in ‘fostering ESG practices, its transparent reporting, and positive, sustainable change’.

Other contributing criteria include ‘‘a visionary strategy that drives significant sustainability outcomes; notable investment in ESG-related initiatives; and in implementing lasting contributions to the environment, workplace culture, or community”.

Accepting the award Ms. Buckley thanked adjudicators for their acknowledgment, saying: “it is an honour to receive this recognition mindful that ‘it is the team and not the individual’ that drives positive results”.

“Our goal at Fyffes is always to be at the forefront of sustainability innovation” she said, adding “we have a continued commitment to achieving this across all aspects of our global operations.”

The Business Post Leadership Awards, in its second year, honours ‘visionary executives, rising leaders, and changemakers’ who demonstrate innovation, integrity, and have influence in their fields. Through the awards ceremony, the  aim is  to celebrate success and encourage a culture of purpose-driven leadership that empowers future generations.
